Taylor'd Wellness Massage Therapy

What Can Massage Do For Me?

Massage has been performed in many cultures throughout the world dating back as far as 5,000 years. Cultures from China, Japan, Ancient Rome, France, and the USA have all added to the body of knowledge that is massage therapy. In all of these cultures, massage has been practiced as a form of wellness and for good reason. Massage positively impacts so many systems in the body.

When you book your next session, you will feel the difference in your body as massage releases tension from the muscles and improves mobility of the joints. You will also feel more relaxed as massage calms your nervous system. These are easy to notice.

There are so many additional ways that massage helps the body that you may not notice. Massage increases the amount of blood in your body. After a massage both the numbers of red and white blood cells are increased which oxygenates your body and improves your immune system.

Massage gets your lymphatic system moving which helps move waste through the body. You can experience less swelling and improved detoxification after a massage. This can also benefit you as you experience less discomfort.

Massage helps to unwind your fascia. Your connective tissue is very important in your body and encompasses all of your parts, muscles, organs, bones. Sometimes your connective tissue can get stuck on itself which prevents movement. Massage can help your body move better by releasing the fascia.

Your skin is your body's biggest organ for protection and keeping germs out. When getting a massage, the therapist will apply lotion or oil that will keep the skin smooth and hydrated. This will help the skin do its job as protector. Also, your therapist will be able to see the skin on the back of your body, a place that is often difficult to view. Your therapist will pay attention to the health of the skin and let you know if there are any moles or marks that should be checked out by a doctor.

And the list goes on! Dr, Tiffany Bright of the Touch Research Institute in Florida says after decades of research, that massage has improved nearly every condition that they have researched!

Massage is like a tune-up for your body!

I studied Massage Therapy at Traviss Technical Institute. This excellent program introduced me to many modalities (styles) of massage and bodywork. I graduated in 2001.

I specialize in therapeutic massage and pain relief with extensive knowledge in treatment for sciatica. I am also very skilled in pre-natal massage. I offer infant massage instruction to parents, Reiki and cranial sacral therapy. I believe everyone should receive massage on a regular basis as a "tune-up" for the body.

If stress has you a mess, a session with me will set you free!

I am a certified Master Hypnotist, licensed massage therapist in the state of WV, and Reiki Master Teacher.

My interest in massage began as I watched many family members suffer from illnesses that were not helped by traditional medications. In an effort to provide comfort and ease their pain I began studying massage. As a 2005 graduate of Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, I have been practicing for over 15 years. In my sessions I use a variety of techniques including classic and therapeutic massage delivered with individualized treatment plans, Hot Stones, Aromatherapy, and Reiki, a Japanese relaxation and healing technique. Through these modalities I can positively impact the world one client at a time.

Be Free.

I attended DCI technical school in Monaca, PA with thoughts of being more fluid in energy work and other alternative modalities. Instead, I fell in love with anatomy and discovering mysteries of why the body hurts.

I got licensed in 2016 and have worked full time in this field since.

Most of my clients come to me for pain relief techniques. I incorporate many modalities including deep tissue massage, gua sha, cupping, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and Swedish massage.

Helping clients achieve and maintain pain relief is why I choose to do this job. This life can be tough sometimes, And helping to ease life's discomfort is a blessing.

Massage is not a luxury. It is a way to a happier and healthier life.

My first experience as a massage therapist was in high school. A friend was enrolled in the carpentry program at VoTech and after bending and lifting all day his body wore out. He would come over to my house in the evening and have me walk on his back. That is not something I do for my clients today but I am dedicated to giving each person who gets on my table looking for relief a good quality massage.

I learned my skills from the Allegheny Count Community College Massage Therapy program and have years of experience. My specialties are Swedish Massage and Prenatal Massage.

We won't tell you that we're the best, but our clients will!

Her massage was and always is just the absolute best! That’s why I return again and again.
